- · Fill out the form with your information and create a password.
- Use the Use your email instead, Use a phone number instead, and Get a new email address links to change how you sign up.
- · Select Next.

Change the name on your
Microsoft account
- · Sign in to the info page on the Microsoft account website.
- · Under your name, select Edit name. If there’s no name listed yet, select Add name.
- · Enter the name you want, then choose Save. Some names may not be allowed if they contain blocked words or phrases. If you get an error when you enter your name, try a nickname instead.

- · Sign in to the Your info page with your Microsoft account.
- · Select Add picture or Change picture, then follow the instructions.
Find and lock a lost Windows
device
- If your desktop, laptop, tablet, or Surface is lost or stolen, use Find my device to locate and lock it remotely.
- To find the lost device, it must be running Windows 10 and be signed in to your Microsoft account. You can also use Find my phone to find, locate, lock, and even erase your Windows Phone.
Notes
- · You must be signed in to the lost device with a Microsoft account for which you're the administrator. If you're using a work or school account, Find my device won't work.
- · To send its location, your device must be connected to the Internet, have enough battery power, and use GPS.
